The excitement is building for the upcoming St. Elizabeth Catholic Church 5K Glow Run, an event that promises to light up the night with neon colors, flashing lights, and plenty of fun. But before runners take their first step on the glowing course, there’s a lot of work that goes into making sure everything is set up for a safe and enjoyable experience. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how organizers are preparing for the highly anticipated event and the set-up information for sponsorship.
Individuals setting up on golf course:
- If you need assistance getting to your location. Golf cart assistance will be provided. If setting up along the golf course-meet at Pro-shop patio.
- Contact Mile marker leader or room parent-Erica upon arrrival to assist you to get to your location-refer to map attached. You can start setting up as early as 2pm.
- ONLY authorized golf carts will be allowed on golf course. Golf carts are restricted to driving on the cart path only. Safety is our top priority. After 6 pm-there will be no golf carts on the course.
- We kindly ask that you encourage runners. Decorate your area with lights and music. Ensure music is appropriate.
- No Handing out bottle water or items that are hard to recover. If you are not sure-feel free to contact me: (361-548-7868).
Pavilion-Park Area (Non-golf course)
You are welcome to set up anytime around Anderson park and pavilion.
Anderson Park Rd will be closed at 6pm.
If you arrive after that time you will park at VFW, Top Dawg across the street or Wolf Sports and Fitness.
You are welcome to hand out any appropriate items to your discretion as we can clean up easily as area is not dark. Please dispose any trash in your area.

All participants:
- No smoking
If you have a banner that you would like displayed along the finish line, drop off at school or call Erica 361-701-8959 to make arrangements. Please deliver to school by Thursday, Mar. 27 at noon.
Recovery and clean-up of all displays along the route can begin at 9:30pm.
Setting up the 5K Glow Run takes time, teamwork, and plenty of preparation. From marking the course to setting up the glow stations and ensuring safety, every detail is planned to make the event as fun and memorable as possible.
There will be same day registration for all interested in participating.
As the race kicks off and the streets of Alice come alive with neon lights, it’s clear that all the hard work was worth it making the 5K Glow Run a shining success.
