Alice’s Ram Cantu continues his dominance in the 242-pound weight division as his effort vaulted him to the top, lifting another gold medal at the Boys Last Qualifier Meet in George West Saturday, Feb. 22.  

Landing silver hardware were the Coyotes’ Jonathan Ruvalcava in the 123-pound weight class, Marc Macias in the 165-pound weight class and Orlando Cantu in the 198-pound weight division.  

Overall, the team lifted to a third-place finish.

Coach Tinker Villarreal was content with the effort from his team that continue to do well in their weight classes. 

“Boys did an amazing job. They continue to get stronger and hit new PR’s as we prepare to go to regionals,” he said.
