Jim Wells County Rotary Club members were briefed on responsibilities and experiences by Texas Game Warden Lance Harris Thursday, Feb.20.

Harris was the Club’s special guest speaker of the week and touched on enforcing laws related to the conservation and management of natural resources, boating and public safety.

According to Harris, Game Wardens also play a crucial role in search and rescue operations during natural disasters and emergencies.

The regular weekly luncheon was held at Mi Ranchito Mexican Restaurant, 820 S. US Hwy 281 in Alice.

Harris was presented a certificate of appreciation by President Elect Oscar Flores for his contribution as a guest speaker.
