FORMER ALICE ISD COACH ARRESTED AT A HOME, CHARGED WITH DRUG POSSESSION

Hector Gaza Jr, the Coyote defensive coordinator and head track boys coach was arrested Wednesday, Feb 12 at 1804 Encino Avenue. The former Alice ISD coach was charged with possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone by the Jim Wells County Sheriff deputies. 

According to reports from Sheriff Joseph Baker, Gaza had resigned from the school district following the drug accusations on Thursday, Feb. 6. He is suspected of being the owner of a bag of cocaine found on the DAEP campus by an employee who then turned it over to administration. 

According to reports, the Sheriff and his investigators determined the drugs fell from Gaza’s pocket. The white substance had been field tested for positive cocaine result 

He was booked into the Jim Wells County Jail.
