Alice struggled to get the offense going in their final home game of the year in front of a home crowd. The CC Carroll Tigers were in town and as the game tipped off, district 29-5A game excitement spilled all over the court and to the bleachers.
With Carroll building momentum and gaining an early lead, Alice found it difficult to cut the deficit for the rest of the game. The Coyotes had a slow start and allowed the Tigers countless open perimeter looks in transition and were never able to get things going to change momentum completely. The visiting team refused to give up the lead.
Dylan Rivera and Ryan Ynfante both lead the Coyotes in scoring with 13 with Ynfante splashing one 3-point shot. Briggs Hoffman had the other long-range 3-point shot for Alice.
Ale Asevedo, Logan Flores and Ryan Ynfante will all be graduating this year, leaving the Coyotes to find a new source of leadership for next season. The three were recognized before Friday’s game receiving gifts and acknowledgement for their high school career.
