ALICE POWERLIFTERS CLAIM TEAM GOLD AND SILVER IN MATHIS

The Alice Lady Coyotes Powerlifting Team won team gold, and the Coyotes earned a silver team finish at the Mathis meet Thursday, Feb. 6. Both teams performed outstanding hoisting the hardware heading back home.

In the 97-pound weight class Brooke Castillo earned first place and pound per pound best lifter in the lightweight division. 

Deidra Chapa won silver in the 97-pound weight class.  

Keira Salinas picked up gold in the 105-pound weight division.

Victoria Hernandez won silver in the 10-pound weight class.

Payson Trejo placed first in the 114-pound weight class.

Tessa Kubala grabs gold in the 123-pound weight class.

Yzabella Luarca places second in the 123-pound weight class.

Zyanna Canales places third in the 123-pound weight division.

Kristina Quintanilla wins gold in the 132-pound weight class.

Vanity Rubio earns silver in the 132-pound weight class.

Tarah Cude gets silver in the 148-pound weight class.

Rebecca Gonzalez wins third place in the 148-pound weight class.

Ciera Gallegos wins gold in the 165-pound weight class.

Avery Gerstner wins gold in the 181-pound weight division.

Mellany Hernandez picks up the gold in the 220-pound weight division.

Destiny Delarosa places first in the super heavyweight class and pound per pound best lifter heavyweight division.

The Boys took second place overall.

Individually, Nikolas Lopez was first in the 114-pound weight class.

Joseph Suva placed second in the 132-pound weight class.

Amado Ramirez placed first in the 181-pound weight class.

Nevyn Moreno placed second in the 181-pound weight class.

Alejandro Villegas placed third in the 181-pound weight class.

Nick Del Bosque placed first in the 308-pound weight class.
