The Alice varsity soccer boys team played an intense district game with the King Mustangs that ended up in a 1-1 tie Tuesday night, Feb. 4 in front of the home crowd at the Auxiliary Field.

It was a defensive masterclass from both teams and across the board, these student-athletes put their absolute best effort out on the field. Both the Coyotes and Mustangs managed possession in the midfield and down the stretch keeping the game evened up.

For Alice’s sole goal, Junior forward Joseph Gaza had a corner kick go straight to Junior teammate Alexavier Ramirez who made the goal amidst traffic.

The Coyotes (4-8-3) (1-3-1) now prep for the Moody Trojans (2-7-2) (1-4-1) on Friday at 8pm in Corpus Christi.

Alice finds itself in sixth place and Moody in eighth in the district standings.
