ALICE BOYS POWERLIFTING TEAM TIES FOR FIRST

The Coyotes powerlifting team competed at the Robstown Powerlifting Invitational on Thursday, Jan. 30. The team as a whole competed hard and improvement was evident.  

The individual placing are as follows: 

Nikolas Lopez – 5th in the 114-weight class 

Jace McGee – 3rd place in the 114-weight class 

Armando Perez – 2nd place in the 181-weight class 

Amado Ramirez – 3rd place in the 114-weight class 

Eric Luarca – 4th place in the 198-weight class 

Noah Christian – 3rd in the 220-weight class 

Ram Cantu – 2nd place in the 275-weight class 

Esai Escobar – 4th in the 275-weight class 

Tyler Rosales – 1st place in the 308-weight class and Team MVP 

Nick Del Bosque – 4th place in the 308-weight class 

Coach Tinker Villarreal said the boys were ready and dedicated without question. 

“The program is locked in to win. Sacrifice, dedication and win. Champions don’t question the grind,” said Villarreal.
