Donating to the community was what the late Vergie Rosas and Oscar Rosas Jr loved to do, and their family will continue that tradition in their memory for years to come.  

Ahead of Thanksgiving, Rosas Funeral Home has already donated turkeys and trimmings to seven schools in Alice, the Boys & Girls Club, Prodigy Day Care, two schools in Premont, schools in Ben Bolt and three more schools in San Diego.  

They also donated turkeys and roasters to the VFW and J&R Monuments donated hams. 

The Tenth Annual Memorial Cook-Off honoring Vergie and Oscar took place Saturday, Nov. 23 at the KC Pavilion for adults and children, numerous giveaways, live music, food and vendors. 21 teams took part.
