Agencies participate in 9/11 remembrance drive-by parade

On this day 22 years ago, 2,996 people lost their lives when four airplanes were hijacked. Two of the planes were crashed into the World Trade Center buildings in New York, one plane crashed into the Pentagon in Virginia and the fourth plane crashed into a field in Pennsylvania.

This year, local agencies including the Alice Police Department, Alice Fire Department, Jim Wells County EMS, JWC Sheriff’s Office, County Constables, District Attorney’s Office, the Department of Public Safety and Border Patrol participated in a drive-by remembrance parade for area elementaries.
