Pablo Perez, age 88, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 17, 2023.He was born in San Diego, Texas on January 26, 1934, to Bernabe and Celedonia Perez. Pablo married his beautiful bride, Sara Prezas. Pablo was a devout Christian and member of Emmanuel Baptist Church for over 30 years. He started his first job as a dishwasher at the Alice Country Club. He moved up to waiter, then assistant manager. He worked there for a total of 60 years. Pablo loved reading his Daily Bread for encouragement and growth in his Christian life. He also loved watching the T.B.N. channel where his favorite Pastor was Dr. Jeremiah. Pablo is preceded in death by his parents, lovely wife: Sara Perez, 2 brothers: Carlos Perez and Severo Perez, 3 sisters: Beva Vela, Emma Gelista, and Maria Coronado. 

 He is survived by his 3 sons: Oscar (Patsy) Perez, Omero Perez, Omar (Adriana) Perez, 3 daughters: Olga (Alvin) Walker, Odilia Perez, and Elma (Wayne) Cadena, 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. 

 The family would like to thank the hospice team that provided excellent care for Pablo, especially R.N. Mary and L.V.N. Amira. 

 A visitation will be held Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 5 pm to 8 pm with a prayer service to be held at 7 pm in the Roberson Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 20, 2023 at 10 am at the Emmanuel Baptist Church with a burial to follow in the Roselawn Cemetery in Alice.
