
Santos Carpentier Perez, 95, of Alice, Texas, passed away January 10th, 2023, peacefully in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born to the late Pedro and Rosa Carpentier on November 1st, 1927, in Banquete, Texas.

Santos was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and friend whom loved spending time in the kitchen. In her younger years, she loved riding the ranch tractor. Santos also enjoyed gardening, sewing, needlepoints, and loved cooking and creating delicious meals for her family. She always had to be in charge of cooking for family gatherings. Santos also enjoyed watching her novelas. To her, Family was everything. She died beloved by all and will be missed dearly.
She married the late Miguel C. Perez and together lived in Alice. Santos was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 63 years. She is also proceeded in death by her children: Gilberto Perez, Jesus Perez, Juan Perez, Miguel Perez Jr., Ruben Perez, and Graciela Munoz; granddaughters, Kasey Garza and Lisa Arellano. Santos is survived by one sister, Herminia Rodriguez; 1 brother in-law ‘Polo Perez; 3 children: Amelia Munoz, San Juanita Cardenas, and Diana Garza all of Alice, Texas; and a granddaughter raised as a daughter, Sandy (Luis) Pecina of Midland, Texas. She is also survived by 37 grandchildren, 95 great-grandchildren, 44 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 15, 2023 from 5 till 9 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that evening. A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, January 16, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial to follow at New Collins Cemetery.
