Antonio “Tony” G. Garza Jr., 84 years of age entered eternal rest on December 24, 2022, at a local nursing home.  He was born on July 29, 1938, in Benavides, Texas to Antonio and Christina G. Garza.  Tony worked for many years in the oil field industry.  He enjoyed family time and having his grandchildren and great grandchildren around him. He and his late wife enjoyed going to play Bingo. His family will remember him as a hardworking and loving father, grandfather and great- great grandfather that always stride to provide for them.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Siblings, his beloved wife Emma Salinas Garza.

Survivors include his three sons Rodolfo “Rudy” (Gloria) Garza of Ben Bolt, Texas, Antonio Garza III and Robert (Tina) Garza both of Alice, Texas, four daughters Janie (Raul) Longoria, Elsa (Joe) Olivares, Elda (Rene) Gonzalez and Hilda (Rene) Vera all of Alice, Texas 14 Grandchildren, 5 Great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives at 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday January 3, 2023, at Rosas Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M.  that same evening. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday January 4, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Roberson Collins Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Rudy Longoria, R.J. Garza Jr, Robert Garza Jr., Jose Daniel Olivares, Javier Olivares, Oscar Delgado III, Amanda Delgado, Aaron Silva, and D.J. Silva, alternate pallbearers will be David Silva and Rene Gonzalez.
