Hazmat and law enforcement exercise conducted at the Texas State Aquarium

CORPUS CHRISTI – At the beginning of August, Nueces County first responders worked with the TX National Guard’s 6th Civil Support Team conducting a joint Hazmat and Law Enforcement exercise at the Texas State Aquarium as well as the Hilltop Community Center in Corpus Christi. The purpose of the exercise is to establish and refine valuable partnerships between local, state, and federal agencies in responding to incidents involving hazardous materials that may overwhelm local resources. The exercise is not COVID related and has been scheduled since earlier this year.
