Alice adopts $1.7M for HOT budget for the advertising and promotion of the city’s attractions

On Thursday, Sept. 8, the City of Alice approved a 1.7 million dollar Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) budget. Under Texas law, local HOT funds should be spent on projects or events that result in visitors or attendees staying overnight in the community, generating more hotel occupancy tax and further contributing to the local economy.
