MD Anderson receives CPRIT funding to expand access to cervical cancer screening and treatment in Texas

HOUSTON - The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center today was awarded $2.5 million in continued funding from the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) to support the expansion of cervical cancer prevention services to rural and medically underserved populations.

Work Force Solutions hosts job fair

More than a dozen businesses were at the Coastal Bend College Thursday morning for a job fair hosted by the Work Force Solutions of the Coastal Bend. Job seekers filed in to the event with resumes in had at the chance to start a career with business such as Guadalupe Hacienda, REAL Transportation, FDF Energy Services, Jim Wells County Sheriff’s Office, Meridian Care, and more.

CBC’s Cougar Days in Alice
