eternal rest on August 3, 2022, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He, affectionately known as BG, was born May 10,1932 to Paula Garcia and Manuel Uribe Longoria. As a child, he was known as the wild one of the bunch. We would often hear funny stories of him being hung up by his suspenders to keep him out of trouble or getting into fights on the bus to protect his sisters. As an adult, he married his love, Irma G. Longoria and they raised a beautiful family of 5 children together. They were married 54 years until her passing in 2008. BG worked at Frito Lay and served the community as a Police Officer and Sheriff’s Deputy. He then worked as a code’s inspector for the City of Alice for 30 plus years until his retirement at 74 years of age. If you just met him, he may strike you as a quiet and shy person, but if you knew him well, you knew that wasn’t the full story. He was really a jokester and had something to say about everything. He enjoyed old westerns, horse races and an occasional visit to the Casino. He had a huge passion for fixing things and repairing broken lawn mowers and tractors. BG built lasting memories with those around him, especially his grandchildren, who have fond memories of his antics when they were kids. He truly enjoyed the sounds of their laughter and made every effort to hear it. He will forever be remembered for his perfectly bent hat, his starched polo with the single pocket, and his shiny black boots. He was loved by his entire family and many
