Jacob Marcus Chavez, 27 years of age, passed away peacefully with his family gathered around his bedside at a Corpus Christi Hospital on July 19, 2022. He was born on November 18, 1994, to Oscar Chavez Jr and Rosario “Rosie” Almaraz Chavez in New Braunfels, Texas. Jacob fought a courageous battle of cancer for nine years.
Jacob enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved his daughters and his wife unconditionally which were his everything. During his illness, while there good days and some bad, you could find Jacob playing video games, facetiming for endless hours at a time. Jacob had a go to location where he found peace and tranquility. He would sit there and reflect and sort out his life Journey at the Bay area near the waterline of the coast. Jacob had a passion for grilling and spending time with family and friends calling himself the “Pit Master”. Jacob enjoyed working out at the gym with his wife and that was his escape. Survivors include his beloved wife, Megan Lynn Chavez of Alice, Texas; two daughters, Bella Rose Chavez and Aaralynn Rose Chavez both of Alice, Texas; his father, Oscar Chavez Jr of Alice, Texas; one brother, Oscar Ray (William Armando Perez) Chavez of Los Angeles California; one sister, Lorena “Lori” Chavez of Corpus Christi, Texas. Other Survivors include his mother-in-law, Monica Saenz of San Diego, Texas; his father-in-law, Roel (Veronica) Chavarria of San Diego, Texas, maternal grandmother, Maria Almaraz and paternal grandmother, Guadalupe “Lupita” Chavez of Alice, Texas along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at 5:00 P.M at Rosas Funeral Home. A prayer service will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Service will be on Monday, July 24,2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the open-Door Community Church with

Serving as pallbearers are Derrick Barrera, Gabriel Loera, Mikey Valerio, Juan Garcia, Roel Chavarria, Anthony Guerra, Justin Garcia and Reynaldo Chavarria. Pastor Javier Franco will officiate the services.
