Jaime Villarreal

It is with a heavy heart that the family of Jaime Villarreal announces his passing from this earth on July 11, 7, 2022, at his home in Alice TX, surrounded by family. Jaime fought a courageous 3-year battle with cancer. Jaime was born to Pedro Villarreal Jr. and Dianna Rivera Villarreal on August 24, 1968, in San Bernardino, California. He graduated from Alice High School in 1986 and attended Texas A&I university in Kingsville Texas. He briefly worked for Schlumberger Technologies before beginning his career with Coastal Refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas. Coastal Refinery which later became Valero Refinery, where Jaime remained, and achieved the position of Shift Superintendent. Jaime enjoyed his work and made many friendships throughout his 30 years at the refinery. Jaime enjoyed watching football, cooking, barbecuing, hunting, and being at the family ranch with friends and family. He was a truly kind and generous person, with a personality that always made you smile. Jaime will be dearly missed by those who knew him. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Pedro and Emilia P. Villarreal, Sr. and Juan N. and Lilia G. Rivera. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Sharon Chavez Villarreal, his four children, Erika (Leon) Villarreal Gonzalez, Jaime Miguel (Michelle) Villarreal, Sylvia Laughlin, and Sarena Villarreal, and five grandchildren, Bailynn, Aaden, and Elco Villarreal and Elle and Levin Gonzalez; all of Alice Texas. Jaime is also survived by his parents, Pedro and Dianna Rivera Villarreal, Jr., and his brother, Javier (Marisela) Villarreal of Alice, Texas. It is difficult to say goodbye, and the time spent with Jaime will be forever cherished. He was loved so dearly and will be forever missed. There will be a private Memorial Mass in celebration of his life at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alice, TX at 10:00 A.M. on Friday July 29, 2022.
