Elisandro “Chano” Rodriguez Jr., age 91, passed away July 17, 2022 in Alice, Texas. He was born April 29, 1931 in Alice, Texas to Elizandro Rodriguez Sr. and Trinidad Rodriguez. Chano was veteran and served in the United Stated Army and United States Airforce. He was a proud member of the Alice United Veterans Burial Association. Chano was often seen at Jalisco enjoying his coffee and being social with everyone. He was known for his social character, his captivating smile, and his love for dancing. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizandro Rodriguez Sr. and Trinidad Rodriguez; wife, Elida Rodriguez; son, Randy Rodriguez; and granddaughter, Erica Nicole Cook.

Chano is survived by his daughter, Sandra L. Garcia (Frank Jr.) of Alice; daughter-in-law, Shirley Rodriguez of Kerrville; three grandchildren, Aranda Rodriguez, Frankie Garcia III (Michelle), and Serena Garcia; great-grandchildren, Journey Rodriguez, Daedyn Rodriguez, and Tycee Cook; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. till 9:30 a.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary beginning at 9:30 a.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial to follow at New Collins Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Journey Rodriguez, Daedyn Rodriguez, Manuel “Meme” Rangel Perez, Frankie Garcia III, Robert Rodriguez, and Adrian Reyna.
