Arturo Alaniz Sr. 50, years of age entered eternal rest on June 7, 2022, at his residence. Arturo a native of San Diego residing in Alice for many years. He was born on June 26, 1971, in San Diego Texas to Armando and Lina Hughes Alaniz. Arturo enjoyed family gatherings and barbecuing, he also enjoyed Sunday football, always watching his favorite team the Dallas Cowboys. Arturo had a passion for outdoors and loved hunting. He could also be found playing pool.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Lydia Perez, and two sisters In Law Sandra Alaniz and Velma Alaniz

Survivors include his wife of 29 years of marriage Brenda L. Alaniz of Alice, Texas, two sons Arturo Alaniz Jr. of Alice, Texas, and Mark (Denysa Gonzalez) Alaniz of San Antonio, Texas, One daughter Ashely Marie Alaniz of Alice, Texas. four brothers Armando (Ruby) Alaniz III, Adrian Alaniz both of Alice, Texas and Armando Alaniz Jr of Indiana and Eladio (Debbie) Alaniz of Jasper, Texas and three sisters Maria Lina (Javier Gonzalez of San Diego, Texas, Rosa Linda (Gabriel) Garcia of Green Acers and Diamantina Alaniz of Irving Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends and relatives at830 to 930 A.M. on Wednesday June 15, 2022, at Rosas Funeral Home with a Rosary recited at 9:30 A.M. Funeral procession will depart the Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. to St. Joseph Catholic Church for the Funeral mass to be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at the San Diego Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Alaniz, Arturo Alaniz Jr., Javier Gonzalez, Javier Gonzalez Jr. Jose Arredondo, Gabriel Garcia, Adrian Alaniz, Leeroy Alaniz and Armando Alaniz
