Robert Torrez Jr., 55 years of age, passed away on June 2, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas. Robert was born on November 17,1966 in Italy, Texas to Robert and Eloise Lopez Torrez. He worked as a Rig Supervisor for Axis Energy Services. He was a Dallas Cowboy fan, he loved gambling and Bingo. He always enjoyed being with his family and friends. He had a passion for Barbecuing. Robert worked in the oilfield industry for 38 years. Robert will be remembered by many people that he helped and loved. He was always wanting to help and do for others. Robert was an avid supporter of his nephew Marcos’s horseraces.
Robert is preceded in death by his father Robert Torrez Sr., two sisters Luisa Arvizu and Virginia Gonzalez and one granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years Linda Torrez of Alice, Texas two daughters Liza (Carlos) Gonzalez of Alice, Texas and Irene Torrez of Victoria, Texas, a grandson that was raised as a son Izalah Salinas of Alice, Texas, One stepson Mario A. (Isla) Gonzalez of Alice, Texas, two stepdaughters Sylvia (Mark) Gonzalez and Marissa (Jesse) Ochoa both of Alice, Texas. other survivors include his mother Elodia (Benito) Arroyo of Alice, Texas, three brothers Steven Arroyo of Midlothian, Texas, Severo(Tonya) Arroyo of Alice, Texas and Greg (Shamie) Ramirez of Pecos, Texas and six sisters Delores Torrez and Paula (Jose) Moctecuma both of Midlothian, Texas Irma Torrez of Arlington, Texas, Alicia (George) Canales and Apoliana (Temo) Ortero both of Alice, Texas and Vicky (David) Ortero of Venus, Texas. Nine Grandchildren, 10 Step Grandchildren and 8Great-Grandchildren.
Family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday June 8, 2022, at 8:30 A.M. at Rosas Funeral Home. Funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 10:00A.M. to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. Serving as Pallbearers will be Greg Ramirez, Severo Arroyo, Steven Arroyo, Mario Gonzalez, Robert Lee Villarreal, Marcos Galvan, Carlos Gonzalez, and Juan Villarreal. Services will end at the Church.
