Norma H. Rodas, 62, gained her angel wings on May 2, 2022, with her family by her side.

Norma was born November 12, 1959, in Alice, Texas. Norma’s interests included dancing, singing and listening to music, and playing chalupa and bingo. She was a homemaker for many years who raised her children alongside her husband who owned and operated Tony’s Tire Service.

Norma is preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Rodas Sr.; parents, Rene and Elodia Hinojosa; in-laws, Pablo and Rosa Rodas; grandson, Nathan P. Rodas; sisters, Nora Ramirez and Nelda Rodriguez; brother, Ricardo Hinojosa; sister-in-law, Lucy Hinojosa; brother-in-laws, Jack B. Butler Jr., Ruben Gutierrez Sr. and Tomas Rodriguez Sr.

Norma is survived by her sisters, Yolanda Butler, Kookie Gutierrez, and Alejandra (Lupe) Lopez; brother, Diego Hinojosa Sr.; brother-in-law, Augusto (Nilsa) Rodas all of Alice, TX and brother-in-law, Roberto Ramirez Sr. of Robstown, TX; three children, Rosie (Manuel) Luna of Princeton, TX, Tony (Annette) Rodas Jr. of Alice, TX and Pablo (Tyra) Rodas of Alice, TX.; nine grandchildren, Anissa (Matthew) Amador, Ava and Jarren Luna, Toree Rodas, Jackie, Alyssa, Audrey and Lexi Rodas, and John R. Gonzalez Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Adalynn Garcia and Jaxson Amador. She also had numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will receive friends and relatives at 8:00 AM on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Rosas Funeral Home. Funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 AM to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where a Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM following the Rosary. Burial will follow at the New Collins Cemetery.
