Big Taco Mexican Restaurant closes doors
After 20 years of servicing the Alice community and travelers throughout South Texas, the owners of Big Taco closed their doors on Saturday, April 16. "Big Taco would like to thank the Jim Wells County community for supporting us for over two decades," Jesus and Teresa Ceja said via Facebook.

Months of cleaning the Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Alice by a group of concerned citizens has made substantial progress. Progress that continues in the hopes of addressing much-needed improvements.
City renames Peewee League Field to bestow honor on BGCA executive director
For his dedication to the youth of the Alice community, Rick Del Bosque was honored by the City of Alice when they renamed the youth peewee league field. On Monday, April 18, the official dedication ceremony happened at the softball/baseball fields near Lincoln and North Adams.
