ALICE - Ernesto Jose Flores “Lowrider”, age 46, passed away March 30, 2022 in Alice, Texas. He was born October 19, 1975 in Alice, Texas. He had a love for working on cars and cruising around. He was a family-oriented man who loved his children dearly and enjoyed movie nights, outdoor camping and fishing with his boys. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

David Ricardo Garcia

CORPUS CHRISTI - David Ricardo Garcia, 62 years of age passed away on April 01, 2022 at Christus Shoreline Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. He passed peacefully surrounded by those who loved him dearly with his wife Linda and his God daughter Becky at his bedside and other family members in the room. David, known to family and longtime friends as Ricky, was born November 17, 1959, in Abilene, Texas. Adopted at the age of 6 months by Rev. Ernesto Garcia and Isaura Sanchez Garcia, they brought him into a Christian home and was raised in the ways of God and his mighty promises. He was taught that nothing was impossible and that all the riches of the earth had already been promised him. With his strong faith he faced the world daily and always knew that he had a praying family at home.

Maria Irene Molina

ALICE - Maria Irene Molina, age 76, passed away March 31, 2022 in Alice, Texas. She was born January 9, 1946 in Benavides, Texas. Maria enjoyed listening to music, singing and watching her television shows. Some of her favorite shows was the Golden Girls and some she would watch with her husband such as, Andy Griffin Show, Bonanza, and John Wayne movies. Maria had a strong work ethic from working as a home provider in the medical field to keeping the household up at home. She enjoyed cooking and washing for her family and was a firm believer in hanging her clothes out to dry. She will be remembered for her unconditional love for her family and her sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

USDA to provide payments to livestock producers impacted by drought or wildfire

The U.S Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced that ranchers who have approved applications through the 2021 Livestock Forage Disaster Program (LFP) for forage losses due to severe drought or wildfire in 2021 will soon begin receiving emergency relief payments for increases in supplemental feed costs in 2021 through the Farm Service Agency’s (FSA) new Emergency Livestock Relief Program (ELRP).
