There is a superstar lineup coming to the Jim Wells County Fairgrounds this weekend, as the two-day Independence Bash 2012 takes over Saturday and Sunday.
The line up for Texas Country Night on Saturday includes Justin Cole, Texas Venom, Jerry and the Ruf-Nex, Art and The Bottom Creek Band and Kevin Fowler.
Tejano superstars set for Sunday night include groups Los Palominos, Siggno and Roberto Pulido y Los Calsicos.
It will be two days of music the community will not soon forget. Tickets are available locally at the KOPY 92.1 FM offices at 2722 Highway 281, Mario's Meat Market and Crazy Cowgirls. In San Diego, tickets are available at Drive By Max and in Calallen at Billy Bob's Western Wear.
These pre-independnence day concerts are brought to the community by KOPY 92.1 FM, KUKA 105.9, and the Lions Club #1282, as well as Budweiser.

The 8th Annual Freer Freedom Fest is this weekend, including a parade, concert and Bingo game put on by ConocoPhillips at St. Mary's Catholic Church Parish Hall from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday and a shooting competition at the Duval-Freer Airport sponsored by the Duval County 4-H Shooting Club.
The Freedom festival has grown over the years, now attracting several thousand Coastal Bend residents in recent years.
The headlining group this weekend is Grupo Vidal.
A main attraction at the festival will be the first Southern Extreme Bull Riding Association sanctioned event put on by Rafter C Productions and Bucking Bulls.
The festival also includes several local vendors and organizations who use this opportunity as an annual fundraising event. For kids four to eight, there will also be Mutton Bustin.
The parade will start at 3 p.m. followed by gates opening for the rodeo at 5 p.m. at the airport. The admission is $5 a vehicle.
Fireworks will go off Saturday evening thanks to the Newman Operating Company.
