Buckaroos lose 12-7
Pete Garcia, The Freer Press
To say Freer's game against Santa Rosa was a defensive battle would be an understatement.
In victory, the Santa Rosa Warriors had only nine first downs in the game and 150 yards of total offense. That was enough though as they handed the Buckaroos a tough 12-7 loss.
It was a ball game in which the Buckaroos were in control in the first half after a three-yard Harley Eeds touchdown run and a Rey Guzman extra point.
Freer was shutout after that, while Santa Rosa was able to put together a 14-point second half behind an 80-yard touchdown run by Nun Garcia and a 13-yard touchdown pass from Raul Garza to Art Rodriguez.
The Buckaroos had an off night offensively, picking up only four first downs. They ended the game with only 73 total yards. The Buckaroos off Friday night.
