AYSA signing up players for upcoming year

The Alice Youth Soccer Association is accepting player registrations at Lacks and at the Alice Parks and Recreation Department office until Sunday, Aug. 26. Registration is $50 per player. Late registrations are $60 and will be accepted from Aug. 27 through Aug. 31 only.

Parks and recreation forming football league

The Alice Parks and Recreation Youth Flag Football program is currently registering children for the 2007 season which begins Monday, Sept. 17 at the Mora baseball field. Games will be held on Mondays. Registration is $25 per child and the deadline is Friday, Aug. 31. Call Elizabeth Montemayor at 668-7260 or go by the Parks and Recreation Department at 607 E. Seventh Street for information.

Team being formed to play in CBYFL

A team of 9 and 10 year olds is being formed to play this fall in the Coastal Bend Youth Football League. For more information, call Oscar Ortiz at (361) 813-2074.

Hunter education course is Thursday

A hunterís education course will be offered at 6 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church at 1400 North Texas Blvd.

The minimum age to attend the course is $12.
