Lady Coyotes held to just one hit

The Alice Lady Coyotes have used their bats to put together one of the program's strongest starts in years.

However, on Tuesday, those bats were quiet. The Lady Coyotes had only one hit in a 4-1 loss to the Beeville Lady Trojans. The loss was Alice's fourth of the season.

Olivia Cervantes was credited with the Lady Coyotes' only hit.

Beeville scored its runs in the third and fourth innings.

The team is now 7-4 this season going into the Mira's Softball Tournament in Corpus Christi beginning Thursday. In pool play, Alice will face King, San Marcos and a third team.
