The William Adams Middle School volleyball teams participated in their 10th annual Pink Game Monday night. The volleyball team donned pink jerseys and held a special pep rally where they honored 15 breast cancer survivors.
“We had seen this done in other communities and were excited to do it here,” said coach Kandace Fox, who has coached the team for 15 years.
Prior to the month of October, the team sold pink T-Shirts and with the profits earned from those sales, along with proceeds from a bake sale held during the game, the girls were able to donate about $1,400 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
The team closes out their season next Monday and then will begin to focus on basketball.
