The list of South Texas high school football games moving up a day because of the possibility of heavy rains and flooding is growing.
Teams moved their games from Friday to Thursday because of a tropical disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico. The weather system is expected to cause coastal flooding as well as prolonged periods of rain which could cause more flooding escpailly since South Texas has been drenched by rain in the last week.
The games moved include:
‒ Rockport-Fulton in Alice, 7:30 p.m. Thursday‒ Tuloso-Midway at Beeville, 7:30 p.m. Thursday‒ Bishop at Taft, 7 p.m. Thursday‒ Skidmore-Tynan vs. Benavides, 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Three Rivers‒ Runge at Agua Dulce, 6 p.m. Thursday‒ Refugio at Aransas Pass, 7 p.m. Thursday‒ Banquete at Robstown, 7:30 p.m. Thursday‒ Ingleside at Kingsville, 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Javelina Stadium (originally scheduled in Ingleside)‒ Orange Grove at Mathis, 7 p.m. Thursday (originally scheduled in Orange Grove)‒ San Diego vs. West Oso, 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Premont (originally scheduled in West Oso)‒ Ganado at Odem, 7 p.m. Thursday‒ Victoria West at Moody, 7 p.m., Thursday, Flour Bluff (originally scheduled for Cabaniss Multipurpose)‒ Veterans Memorial vs. King, 7 p.m. Thursday, Cabaniss Multipurpose‒ George West at Goliad, 7 p.m. Thursday
