The Alice High School cross country team won six medals at the Foy H. Moody High School Trojans Invitational Saturday.

In the Class 6A-4A boys’ division, Samuel Salinas was sixth with a time of 16:46 in the three-mile course. Patrick Saenz was 14th place with a time of 17:11 and Lupe Garcia was 19th with a time of 17:23. R.J. Pena was 38th and Fernando Castillo was 41.

In the Class 6A-4A girls’ division, Tania Lillich was fourth with a time of 19:58 in the three-mile course. Rita Castillo was 12th with a time of 20:56 and Jackie Villarreal was 17th with a time of 21:30. Samantha Pierce was 26th and Alaura Cantu was 29th.

Several Alice runners competed in the Class 3A-1A boys division’s three-mile run. Francisco Castillo was 13th with a time of 18.95. The others Alice runners and their place were Angel Perez, 23; Ociel Castillo, 27; Jordan Perez, 32; Julian Garcia, 35 and Clayton Garcia, 50.

In the boys junior varsity division, Elian Rodriguez was sixth with a time of 12:16 and Ronaldo Arellano was 16th with a time of 12:50 in the two-mile run. Alice’s other runners were Jamar Mack, who was 23rd, and William Park, who was 26th.

Ashley Arellano was fourth in the junior varsity girls division with a time of 14:44 in the two-mile run. Paris Chalfant was 16th and Galilea Chavez was 17th. Mariella Villarreal was 18th. Daniella Contreras was 35th.
