Kingsville, Texas - The Texas A&M-Kingsville women's tennis program will get an early jump on the fall schedule, as head coach Autumn Williams will have the Javelinas in three separate competitions before the ITA Regionals in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the end of September.

"This fall brings some new and exciting opportunities for Javelina Tennis," said Williams. "We will see St. Mary's twice before the ITA Regionals, and with them being a top-10 ranked program, it should let us know pretty early where we are and where we can go.

"This year we have a deeper roster so our results should be much better than in the past. I'm also ecstatic about hosting our first Javelina Quad and to showcase our great facilities here on campus."

The Javelinas will travel to San Antonio for the weekend of Sept. 7-8, to take part in the Trinity University Quad before visiting Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Sept. 14-15 for the Islander Open.

The Blue and Gold will return to Kingsville for Sept. 21-22 for the first-ever Javelina Quad at the Javelina Tennis Courts as TAMUK will play host to St. Mary's (TX), St. Edward's and Sam Houston State.

The ITA Regionals will take place on the campus of MSU Texas on Sept. 27-28 to close out the fall schedule.

"We're gearing up for some tough competition this semester," added Williams. "I'm hopeful it will set the tone for next season.

"We will learn from our opponents and set our goals from there."
