The Alice Coyotes are spending the next two seasons in an eight-team district.

District 15-5A, Div. II will include Alice, Calallen, Floresville, Gregory-Portland, Port Lavaca-Calhoun, Tuloso-Midway, San Antonio Southside and Somerset, according the Texas University Interscholastic League district realignment and reclassification which was announced Thursday morning.

The following is a list of the teams which will make up District 15-5A, Div. II beginning this fall. Each team’s reported enrollment is in parentheses:

Alice (1,314)
— 2017: 9-4 (3-2 in 30-5A North Zone). Regional quarterfinalist.

Calallen (1,277)
— 2017: 13-1 (5-0 in 30-5A North Zone, district champ). Regional semifinalist.

Floresville (1,268)
— 2017: 6-5 (4-1 in District 29-5A). Bi-district finalist. Lost to Alice, 44-25.

Gregory-Portland (1,419)
— 20117: 6-4 (3-2 in District 30-5A North Zone).

Tuloso-Midway (1,201)
— 2017: 2-7 (0-5 in District 30-5A North Zone).

San Antonio Southside (1,564)
— 2017: 8-3 (5-0 in District 29-5A). Bi-district finalists

Somerset High School (1,179)
—2017: 8-3 (5-0 in District 15-4A, Div. I). Area finalists.

Port Lavaca-Calhoun
—2017: 4-5 (2-4 in District 27-5A.
