The games mark the unofficial start of the Alice High School soccer season, and like most seasons the annual soccer games were played a wintry background.

At game time, the temperatures in Alice were hovering around 36 degrees with a wind chill in the mid-20s. The games were originally set for later in the evening but were moved up because of an impending freeze warning.

Of course, the cold temperatures did little to slow down the play on the field.

The Alice Lady Coyotes lead a team of Alice alumni players, 3-2. Victoria Cadena scored twice to lead the Alice team.

Savannah Albiar and Annadel Lopez scored goals for the Alice Alumni team.

Some of the girls who played for the Alice Alumni team included Roxie Salinas, 2009; Annadel Lopez, 1999; Keystone DeLaRosa, 2005; Aleah Edwards, 2017; Stephanie Chapa, 2017; Chastity Wolfe, 2015; Maria Velasquez, 2013; Savannah Albiar, 2010 and Yvanna Ramos, 2009.
