There were a lot of people sporting pink at the Alice Lady Coyotes’ volleyball match against Moody Tuesday night.

That’s because the contest represented Alice’s “Pink Out” game in which the program honors women who have battled and others who are still battling breast cancer.

The group of women, all wearing pink shirts, was honored with flowers and signs created by the players.

Alice defeated Moody, 25-14, 25-23 and 25-22 in the “Pink Out” game.

Alice coach Andrea Gonzalez she was proud of the event.

“I just want to say thank you to all those individuals who made our ‘Pink Out’ game a huge success,” she said. “Thank you to all those beautiful women, who won the battle against breast cancer and all those who are still fighting, that took time out of their day to come support our Lady Coyotes in their win against Moody. We are so blessed to have such a loving, caring, supportive community.”
