It was far from a “gimme” or a “cake-walk,” however the Alice Lady Coyotes found themselves in a unique position Tuesday evening.

The Alice girls played most of the evening out in front of the Corpus Christi Moody Trojans, and despite a few tight moments, it led to a three-game sweep and the Lady Coyotes’ second win of the season.

Alice defeated Moody, 25-14, 25-23 and 25-22.

Gabriela Canales led Alice with seven kills and Katelyn Hernandez had three. Lia Salazar had two.

Alyssa Lazooh ad eight assistant and Kayla Escobar and Salazar had two each.

Lazo had three aces and Meaghan Molina had one.

Sabrina Cantu led the team with 19 digs. Hannah Martinez had 15 and Kaitlin Rea had 13.
