San Diego High School senior SarahJo Campos is continuing her basketball career in the collegiate level and she’s traveling across the country to do it. 

Campos will be attending College of St. Joseph in Rutland, VT on a basketball scholarship. Campos signed a letter of intent and a scholarship during a signing ceremony at San Diego High School Wednesday.

Campos played a key role in the Lady Vaqueros’ playoff run this season. She also was a volleyball standout in 2016. 

Campos was also an accomplished powerlifter for San Diego. She helped the Lady Vaqueros place second in the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association Class 3A meet this season. Campos placed fourth in the 105-pound weight class with a 695-pound weight total. 

College of St. Joseph is a private Catholic college in Rutland, VT. The school’s athletic program is a Div. II school in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association and participates in the yak Small College Conference. 

The Saints won the USCAA national championship in women’s basketball in 2016.
