BENAVIDES, Texas - Julia G. Galvan, beloved sister and aunt, completed her mission on earth and entered eternal rest on Sunday, November 11, 2007, at the age of 97 years old.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fernando Galvan, her brothers, twins, Alejo and Sabitas, Jose, Fernando, Jesus and Manuel; and a sister, Juanita.
Julia is survived by a sister, Concepcion G. Heras from Benavides, Texas. She is also survived by several stepchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In life, Julia will be remembered for her faith in God and her positive attitude, no matter what obstacles came her way. "In green pastures you let me graze; to safe waters you lead me." PSALM 23:2
Visitations was 5 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at the Mauro P. Garcia Chapel in Benavides, Texas, with a Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church with burial following at the Benavides Cemetery in Benavides, Texas.

San Diego - Urbano T. Gonzalez, 63, passed away November 12, 2007 in an Austin Hospice facility. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fabian and Maria Tanguma Gonzalez. He was a retired yard worker.
Survivors include one son, Ricky Morris from Sandia, Texas; two daughters, Belinda (Rudy) Guajardo from Freer, Texas, and Rosalinda Anaya from Alice, Texas; three brothers, Fabian (Viola) Gonzalez Jr. and Leandro (Rosa) Gonzalez, both from San Diego, and George Gonzalez from Galveston, Texas; one sister, Gloria Perez from Dickinson, Texas, and several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was at 5 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home of San Diego with a Rosary recited that same evening at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2007 at St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church and burial followed at the San Diego Cemetery.

FREER, Texas - Betty Lee Hendrix, 81, passed away on Tuesday morning, November 6, 2007 in Kingsville, Texas, with her daughter and son. She loved her family, her friends at KNRC, her flowers, her pets and her paintings. She was born on May 21, 1926 in Drumright, Okla., to Fred Bigbey and Ollie Mitchell Bigbey. She grew up in Edna, Texas, with her surrogate parents, Porter and Minnie Secrest. She and her husband, "P.K.," made Freer, Texas, home for their family. She was preceded in death by her parents; surrogate parents; husband, Preston K. "P.K." Hendrix; son, Jimmy Don Turner; and sisters, Mill Osborn, Maxine Osborn and Helen Tipton.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Gerald) Siegelin of Kingsville; sister, Jean Hamman of Edna, Texas; a daughter-in-law, one grandson, two granddaughters, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins in the Edna area. Graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Edna, Texas.
