Eloisa Salazar, 70, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at her residence.
She was born to Leandro and Emilia De La Ortiz on March 22, 1937 in Carrizo Springs. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, a homemaker and a longtime resident of Robstown. She enjoyed playing bingo and slot machines.
Survivors include three sons, Johnny Betancourt of Baytown, Osvaldo Salazar Jr. and Alejandro Salazar, both of Robstown; her daughter, Rosa (Arnulfo) Marines Jr. of Robstown; four brothers, Richard (Estela) Ortiz of Dodge City, Kan., Estevan (Odulia) Ortiz and David Ortiz, both of Carrizo Springs, and Leandro Ortiz of Houston; four sisters, Francisca (Emilio) Flores of Castroville, Irma Maldonado of Uvalde, Herlinda Ortiz of Houston, and Esther Ortiz of San Antonio; 17 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, in the Ramon Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial followed in Robstown Memorial Park.
