ALICE, Texas – Camilo Tagle Jr., of Alice, Texas, went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2010 at the age of 84. Camilo was born on September 14, 1925 in Kenedy, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be sadly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Camilo Sr. and Juanita Tagle; one sister, Natividad Torres; and one brother, Alfredo Tagle.
Camilo is survived by his wife, Adela Tagle of Alice, Texas; six daughters, Sylvia (Frank) Torres of Alice, Texas, Irma (Rosendo) Robledo of Harlingen, Texas, Diana (Homer) Guerrero of San Marcos, Texas, Betty (David) Segura of Bastrop, Texas, Jonie (Daniel) Santos of Fort Polk, La., and Letti (Russ) Latham of San Antonio, Texas; three sons, Roy (Hilda) Tagle and Ramiro (Delia) Tagle both of Alice, Texas, and Camilo Tagle III of San Diego, Calif.; four brothers, Camilo Tagle and Tony Tagle, both of Seagraves, Texas, Juan Tagle of Siminole, Texas, and Luis Tagle of San Benito, Texas; five sisters, Celia Flores of Georgetown, Texas, Margarita Gonzalez of Laredo, Texas, Ramona Rendon of Hutto, Texas, Manuela Leija of Raymondville, Texas, and Lucia Reynaga of Hutto, Texas; 23 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Camilo was a former minister for the Church of Christ in Odessa, Texas, and Harlingen, Texas. He was a member of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) of Lubbock, Texas and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Lubbock, Texas.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2010 at Ruben M. Garcia & Sons Funeral Services, Chapel A, in Alice, Texas, with a prayer service to be held at 7 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 30 at 10 a.m. at Ruben M. Garcia & Sons Funeral Services, Chapel A. Interment will follow at Alice Cemetery in Alice, Texas.
