Coudert

Joseph Hawley Coudert passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2007. He was born on November 6, 1923 in Port Washington, N.Y., and was raised in Hartford, Conn., where he attended Kingswood School. During WWII he served in the 10th Mountain Division.

Joe, as he was known by his friends, worked in New York City as a freelance magazine photographer before joining Collins Construction in Port Lavaca, Texas. He then worked for the Chamber of Commerce and the Caller-Times in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Press Club in Corpus Christi. He ended his career as a field reporter for the Caller-Times in Alice, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; their daughters, Cathie Coudert of Magnolia, Texas, and Andrea Rehberg and Sharon Coudert of Austin, Texas; five grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.

Robledo

DECATUR, Mich. - Juan Jose Robledo, 37, died in a car accident Saturday, July 28, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, Idolina B. Robledo and Adan G. Robledo Sr.; a brother, Roberto Robledo; and a niece.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Robledo of Decatur, Mich.; brothers, Adan Robledo Jr. of Spicer, Minn., Felix Robledo of Mathis, Texas, Richard Robledo of Wilman, Minn., Rolando Robledo of Memphis, Texas, Ruben Buentello of Benson, Minn., Isreal Robledo of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Alferdo Robledo and Enrique Robledo, both of Alice, Texas; sisters, Alicia Robledo of Benson, Minn., and Celia Robledo and Cynthia R. Villarreal, both of Alice, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and his grandfather.

A memorial service will be held at all walks of life, 301 Encinal Street in Alice, Texas, at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, with Pastor Mary Ramirez.

Rodriguez

ALICE, Texas - Isnael G. "Blackie" Rodriguez Sr., 73, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2007 after a short illness. Blackie was born August 26, 1933 to Benino and Tomasa G. Rodriguez. Blackie was a lifelong resident of Alice and retired oilfield worker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benino and Tomasa G. Rodriguez; one brother, Ismael Rodriguez Sr.; and one sister, Ofelia Torres.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Anselma Rodriguez of Alice, Texas; five sons, Isnael G. (Esmeralda) Rodriguez Jr., Victor (Esmer) Rodriguez Sr., David (Soila) Rodriguez Sr., Daniel (Elma) Rodriguez, and Roel (Sylvia) Rodriguez Sr., all of Alice, Texas; two grandchildren he and his wife raised, Christy Rodriguez and Victor Rodriguez Jr., both of Alice, Texas; four brothers, Leobardo (Connie) Rodriguez of Dallas, Texas, Benino (Juanita) Rodriguez, III and Israel (Maria Elena) Rodriguez, both of Alice, Texas, and Ruben (Fela) Rodriguez of Ohio state; three sisters, Theresa Mendoza, Elma Rodriguez and Hortencia Garcia, all of Alice, Texas; 23 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers include Isnael G. (Trey) Rodriguez III, Victor Rodriguez Jr., Andrew Rodriguez, David Rodriguez Jr., Robert Rodriguez, Mark Rodriguez, Roel Rodriguez Jr., Jason Rodriguez and Michael Rodriguez.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007 at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home of Alice. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and burial will follow at the Alice Cemetery.
