FREER, Texas – Noe “Gordo” Maldonado Jr., 41, a resident of Freer, Texas, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at his residence in Freer, after a lengthy illness. He was a mechanic for Alonzo’s Auto & Tire Repair and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gambling. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend to everyone and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Teodoro and Gregoria Hernandez and paternal grandfather, Domingo Maldonado.

He is survived by his wife Charlott R. Brown; his daughter, Lucke Angel Maldonado; his parents Noe and San Juanita Maldonado all of Freer, Texas; his paternal grandmother, Cristina Maldonado of McKinney, Texas; his sisters, Sonja M. (Juan) Trevino of Sinton, Texas, Angelica (Cecil) Hodge of Arlington, Texas, and Marisol Maldonado of Freer; brothers, Gumaro (Claudia) Maldonado, Alonzo (Clarissa) Maldonado and Haviel Maldonado all of Freer, Texas; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Garza Funeral Home Chapel in Freer. Burial followed at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.
