Salinas

La Rosita Community- Guillermo Del Bosque Salinas, 99, passed away October 11, 2007 in a San Diego nursing home. He was a native of La Rosita Community and he was also a cowboy from Duval County.

Salinas was retired from the San Diego Independent School District and retired from the Duval County Courthouse.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Valeriano and Leandra Del Bosque Salinas; his wife, Amelia Ochoa Salinas; and two brothers, Santiago and Anacleto Salinas.

He is survived by his daughter, Hilda (Rodolfo C. Sr.) Salazar of San Diego, Texas; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was at 4 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2007 at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home of San Diego with a rosary that same evening at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, October 15, 2007 at St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church and burial will follow at the San Diego Cemetery.

Tarango

SAN DIEGO, Texas - Elva Tarango, 52, died suddenly Tuesday, October 2, 2007.

She was a long time resident of San Diego, Texas.

Survivors include her sons, Jose Alberto (Sandra) Tarango of Memphis, Tenn., Reyes (Beverly) Luna of San Diego and Christopher De Santiago of Houston; her daughter, Juanita (Joe) Baez of Houston; her mother, Zulema Uribe of San Diego; her father, Narciso Martinez of Freer; her two brothers, Leopoldo Martinez of Freer, and Ismael Martinez of San Diego; her five sisters, Margarita Martinez and Melba Martinez, both of San Diego, Diana Garcia of Houston, Claudina Maldonado of San Diego, and Noela Martinez of Athens, Ala.; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2007 at Garza Funeral Home in San Diego with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church in San Diego. Burial will follow at the San Diego Cemetery.
