PREMONT, Texas - Celia V. Perez passed away Friday, August 31, 2007. She was born in Encino on February 9, 1931. She was preceded in death by her husband, Porfirio Perez; her parents, Amelia and Celso Villarreal Jr.; brothers, Concepcion, Armando and Celso Villarreal III; and two sisters, Alicia Villarreal and Cristina Martinez.
Survivors include four sons, Odon (Carol) Perez of Sandia, Texas, Carlos (Eunice) Perez, Porfirio Perez Jr. and Sergio Perez, all of Corpus Christi, Texas; six daughters, Amelia Avalos of Corpus Christi, Texas, Ysabela (Max) Palacios of Premont, Texas, Sara (Juan Carlos) Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas, Aurora Pena of Premont, Texas, Irene (Alberto) Garza of Falfurrias, Texas, and Diamantina Perez of San Antonio Texas; one brother, Arnoldo (Anita) Villarreal of Orlando, Fla.; 27 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren
A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2007, at Alaniz Funeral Home in Falfurrias, Texas. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday September 3, 2007 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Premont. Burial was at Premont Cemetery in Premont, Texas.

CONCEPCION, Texas - Alda G. Perez, 83, passed away August 28, 2007 in a Falfurrias nursing home. She was a housewife and a devoted Catholic. She was a lifelong resident of Concepcion, Texas. She was preceded in death by two sons, Rene and Roy Perez; a daughter, Linda Bueno; and a sister, Delfina Balboa. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Jesus H. Perez of Concepcion; five sons, Ramiro (Linda) Perez of Concepcion, Texas, Maximo (MaryBelle) Perez of Ramirez, Texas, Jesus (Elvira) Perez Jr. of Midlothian, Texas, Ruben (Irma) Perez of Rios Community and Reynaldo Perez of Rios, Texas; four daughters, Mary (Richard) Willis of Premont, Texas, “Lucky” (Manuel) Leal of Brownsville, Texas, Alda (David) Hornsby of Premont, Texas, and Rhonda (Gilberto) Arevalo of Parrita Community, Texas; two brothers, Efrain Guerra of Hebbronville, Texas, and Hector (Refugia) Guerra Jr. of Rockport, Texas; one sister, Isabel Zuniga of Corpus Christi, Texas; 31 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, August 31, 2007 at La Purisima Concepcion Catholic Church in Concepcion, Texas, with burial following in the San Francisco Cemetery, Duval County Road 280 in Concepcion, Texas.
