Leonires "Leo" Ybarra, 43, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, after a sudden illness.
He was born in Robstown on Aug. 4, 1964, the son of the late Jose Francisco and Elida Gonzalez Vasquez. He was a lifetime member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He was employed in the maintenance department at Robstown I.S.D. for the past 13 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, coaching Little League, playing pool, and his favorite teams were the Astros and the San Antonio Spurs.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia "Patsy" Ybarra of Robstown; a daughter, Hilary Ybarra of Robstown; two sons, Joe Leo (Celina) Ybarra of San Antonio, and Daniel Ybarra of Robstown; his mother, Elida (Arturo) Vasquez Sr.; one grandson, Joseph Ybarra; two sisters, Ludy (Rosalinda) Ybarra of Corpus Christi, and Belinda (Rene) Lopez of Robstown; two stepsisters, Rhonda (Ruben) Villalobos of Odem, and Kimberly (Mauro) Jasso of Corpus Christi; a stepbrother, Arturo (Brenda) Vasquez of Corpus Christi; his in-laws, Leo and Gloria Carrizales of Robstown; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Anthony Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24. Services concluded at the church.
