FALFURRIAS, Texas - Manuel Perez Sr., 79, passed away at a Premont nursing home on August 27, 2007. He was a retired county commissioner, a former deputy sheriff, dispatcher and rancher. He was preceded in death by his wife, Angelica H. Perez; three brothers, an infant brother Alfredo, an adult brother Alfredo and Pedro; three sisters, Elia Perez, Aurora Cantu and Ester Garcia; and one grandson.

Survivors include two sons, Manuel (Idalia) Perez Jr. of Falfurrias, Texas, and Margarito (Susana) Perez of Freeport, Texas; three daughters, Juanita (Jesus) Mosqueda of Freeport, Texas, Imelda (Usbaldo) Cantu of Falfurrias, Texas, and Anna (LeRoy) Garza of Lake Jackson, Texas; one sister, Herlinda P. Cantu of Falfurrias, Texas; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at Alaniz Funeral Home in Falfurrias, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will be in the Loma Blanca Cemetery in Falfurrias.

Lomblot

PREMONT, Texas - Alicia Recio Lomblot, 72, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at the Harlingen Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas.

She was born December 26, 1934 in Premont, Texas, to Arturo and Paula Hinojosa Recio. She was the hostess and later manager for Palmetto Inn for 30 years. She moved to Harlingen from Falfurrias in 1964.

Survivors include her husband, Roland Lomblot of Harlingen, Texas; two daughters, Sylvia (Robert Sefton) Lomblot of San Diego, Calif., and Laura Yvette Carlson of Rancho Viejo, Calif.; one son, Dr. Royal Lomblot, Lt. Commander U.S. Navy of Naples, Italy; one brother, Manuel Recio of Houston, Texas, and two grandchildren.

A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2007 at Alaniz Funeral Home in Falfurrias, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2007 at the Saint Francis De Assisi Catholic Church in Rios, Texas.

Burial will be in the Santo Nino Cemetery, Highway 1329, San Diego, Texas.
