Reyes

PREMONT, Texas - Israel Reyes, 70, passed away Wednesday September 19, 2007 in a Corpus Christi hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born April 16, 1937 in Premont, Texas. He was a devoted member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, serving as both a Minister of the Eucharist and Lector. He served in the United States Air Force, was a member of the Knights of Columbus and retired from ExxonMobil. He was a loving husband and caring son, father and grandpa. He was preceded in death by his father, Feliciano Reyes Sr.; and by one brother, Noe Reyes. Survivors include his devoted and loving wife of 48 years, Imelda Reyes Premont, Texas; two sons, Daniel (Anna) Reyes of Lake Charles, La., and Marcos (Melva) Reyes of Corpus Christi, Texas; his mother, Aurora Reyes of Premont, Texas; two sisters, Esperanza Pena of Houston, Texas, and Diana Barnes of McAllen, Texas; one brother, Feliciano Reyes Jr. of Houston Texas; and one granddaughter, Lauren Reyes of Lake Charles, La.

The family received friends and relatives at 2 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2007 at Alaniz Funeral Home of Falfurrias, with a Rosary recited that evening at 7 p.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church of Premont. Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Premont, Texas. Burial followed at the Premont Cemetery in Premont, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

Rodriguez

PREMONT, Texas -Damian Rodriguez, 22, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2007 in Premont, Texas, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was a self-employed contractor.

Survivors include his wife, Vanessa Rodriguez of Premont, Texas; one son, Damian Rodriguez II of Premont; three daughters, Katherine Faith Rodriguez, Kimberly Nichole Rodriguez and Katriena Nola Rodriguez, all of Premont; his parents, Elizabeth (Arnulfo Jr.) Gonzalez Rodriguez of Premont and Martin Hernandez of Uvalde, Texas; one brother, Martin Hernandez II of Premont; seven sisters, Crystal Nichole Hernandez, Eloisa Renee Hernandez, Carol Marie Hernandez, Patricia Ann Hernandez, Victoria Hernandez, Sandra Hernandez and Jessica Hernandez, all of Premont.

A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at Alaniz Funeral Home in Falfurrias, Texas. Funeral service was conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday September 20, 2007 at Alaniz Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Premont Cemetery, Premont, Texas.

Villarreal

FALFURRIAS, Texas - Wilfredo Villarreal, 55, died on September 26, 2007 at Falfurrias, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Jesusa A. Villarreal.

Survivors include two brothers, Rafael Villarreal of Mission, Texas and Rodolfo Villarreal of Falfurrias, Texas; one sister, Sylvia Villarreal of Falfurrias, Texas; one niece, Jolinda Munoz of Falfurrias, Texas; three nephews, Joe David Hinojosa and Romeo Hinojosa both of Falfurrias and Vicente Villarreal of Pharr, Texas. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m., on Sunday, September 30, 2007, at the Love and Mercy Outreach Church of Falfurrias. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., on Monday, October 1, 2007 at the Love and Mercy Outreach Church. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery of Falfurrias.
