ALICE, Texas - Irma Foster, 89, passed away August 28, 2007 in Lakeway, Texas. She was born April 19, 1918 in Burkette, Texas, to Luke and Mattie Harwell. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Foster.

Survivors include her daughter, Nelda Foster of Lakeway, Texas; her son, William (Janice) Foster of Waller; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2007 at Holmgreen Mortuary. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2007 at the Alice Cemetery.

BEN BOLT, Texas - Roberto Fernando Pena, 50, died August 28, 2007 after a sudden illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fernando S. and Albesa Garcia Pena. Survivors include his aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitations will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2007 at Maruo P. Garcia Funeral Home in Alice with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2007 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ben Bolt, Texas, with burial following at Calaveras Cemetery in Ben Bolt.

CONCEPCION, Texas - Alda G. Perez, 83, passed away August 28, 2007 in a Falfurrias nursing home. She was a housewife and a devoted Catholic. She was a lifelong resident of Concepcion, Texas. She was preceded in death by two sons, Rene and Roy Perez; a daughter, Linda Bueno; and a sister, Delfina Balboa. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Jesus H. Perez of Concepcion; five sons, Ramiro (Linda) Perez of Concepcion, Texas, Maximo (MaryBelle) Perez of Ramirez, Texas, Jesus (Elvira) Perez Jr. of Midlothian, Texas, Ruben (Irma) Perez of Rios Community and Reynaldo Perez of Rios, Texas; four daughters, Mary (Richard) Willis of Premont, Texas, "Lucky" (Manuel) Leal of Brownsville, Texas, Alda (David) Hornsby of Premont, Texas, and Rhonda (Gilberto) Arevalo of Parrita Community, Texas; two brothers, Efrain Guerra of Hebbronville, Texas, and Hector (Refugia) Guerra Jr. of Rockport, Texas; one sister, Isabel Zuniga of Corpus Christi, Texas; 31 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2007 at Alaniz Funeral Home in Falfurrias, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, August 31, 2007 at La Purisima Concepcion Catholic Church in Concepcion, Texas, with burial following in the San Francisco Cemetery, Duval County Road 280 in Concepcion, Texas.

Tyrone

ALICE, Texas - Ora Lee Tyrone, 77, passed away August 27, 2007 in Arlington, Texas. She was born March 15, 1930 in Runge, Texas, to Harvey and Katie Mae Smith. Ora Lee attended school in Karnes City, Texas. She was a faithful member of True Light Baptist Church in Alice. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a son, Leonard Tyrone. Survivors include her daughter, Jo Etta Duncan of Arlington, Texas; two sons, James Tyrone and Wayne (Anitah) Tyrone, both of Arlington; one sister, Gladys Braziel of Escondido, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, Dal, Marquita, Megan, Sommer, Allison, Nicole, Deirdra, Travis, Dexter, Brandi and Brett; and four great-grandchildren, Morgan, Tyree, Anaia and Zakari.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 30, 2007 from 4 to 9 p.m. and Friday, August 31, 2007 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel.

The funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2007 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow at the Alice Cemetery.
