BEN BOLT, Texas - Bernabe M. Lopez, 81, of Ben Bolt, Texas, passed away Monday, May 21, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, Yrineo and Eloisa Lopez; his sisters, Natividad Ortiz, Irene Vargas, and Eustaqia Munoz; one brother, Gilberto Lopez; and a son-in-law.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Blaza S. Lopez of Ben Bolt, Texas; two sons, Joe (Margie) Lopez of Eagle Pass, Texas, and Mario (Gloria) Lopez of Agua Dulce, Texas; five daughters, America Nino and Sylvia (Roberto) Gonzalez, both of Ben Bolt, Texas, Lydia Garcia of Alice, Texas, Isabel Garcia of Ben Bolt and Belinda (Ramon) Cantu of Alice; two brothers, Andres (Angelita) Lopez of Alice and Yrineo (Josepha) Lopez Jr. of Premont, Texas; three sisters, Susie Castellano of San Jacinto, Calif., Rosa Ortiz of Alice, Texas, and Consuelo Castellano of Corpus Christi, Texas; 24 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Ruben M. Garcia and Sons Funeral Services, Inc., Chapel A. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at St. Theresa Catholic Church of Premont, Texas. Burial will follow at Davila Cemetery in Premont.

ALICE, Texas - Martin R. Mungia, 61, passed away May 20, 2007 in a Corpus Christi hospital. He was a rancher all of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Esteban and Lilia Mungia; three brothers, Augustine, Antonio, and Rogelio Mungia; and one sister, Manuela Vela.
Survivors include his wife, Dora Mungia of Alice, Texas; four sons, Martin Mungia Jr., Amador Mungia, Mario (Kristy) Mungia and Michael (Sondra) Mungia, all of Alice, Texas; two daughters, Melissa (Robert) Zamora and Michelle Mungia, both of Alice, Texas; one brother, Esteban (Maria) Mungia of Alice, Texas; three sisters, Elida Olivares, Consuelo (Camilo) Valdez and Irma Perez, all of Alice, Texas; 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home of Alice. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church and Burial will follow at the New Collins Cemetery.

ALICE, Texas - Onalee Irene Goldsmith Startz, 72, died Sunday, May 20, 2007 in an Alice hospital after an illness. Born in New York State she was a resident of Alice, Texas, and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Startz; and two sons, John and Roger Startz.
Survivors include three sons, Richard (Patricia) Startz of Falls City, Texas, and Joseph Startz and Michael Startz, both of Alice, Texas; two daughters, Donalee Valdez and Wanda Silva, both of Alice, Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to the local public library, church or charity of choice.
A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Walker-Mora Funeral Home in Alice, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Alice with burial to follow at Alice Fraternal Cemetery in Alice, Texas.
